Samworth students share their ideas with others at Creative Partnership Event

Nine pupils from The Samworth Enterprise Aceademy went to Leicester University. Why?  To share their ideas with young people from a range of other schools, at some of which Creative Partnerships has been running for three years and is a well-established way of young people working with their teachers to make education fun and exciting. At The Samworth Enterprise Academy we have been lucky enough to have been chosen for the three year Creative Partnerships Programme.

Rhys Dowds commented, “I liked working with other schools.” This was explained more fully by Courtney Wicks who said, “I liked working with the special needs children – it was fun!” Other comments about the day came from Uxutvi Kapdee who commented, “I really liked the day,” whilst Melek Yayci expressed that she, “Really liked it when we designed our own school.” Ben Pearson said, “I think it was just fun!” Zara Hawkins said that she “had fun when we played hide and seek in the garden.”

Reece Derrick was of the opinion that he “liked meeting new people.” Pretty Mabhara said that she “liked Daisy, the presenter because she was very kind.” Amy Hawksley commented, “I really had fun. I want to go to Creative Partnerships again.”

These young ambassadors for the Academy are just at the beginning of their journey, and there is every likelihood that they will go again and again. After all it is the young people at the Academy who are central to the success of Creative Partnerships at our exciting school.
